Opera till the sun sets into the water
Join us for a mesmerizing evening filled with classical music, opera, and ambient tunes as the sun sets over the iconic Brooklyn Army Terminal. This three-part event, hosted by So&So Orchestra, is an extraordinary celebration of artistic brilliance and international talent.
Part 1: A String Quartet Prelude
The evening commences with So&So's String Quartet's stirring performance of famous string quartets, setting the stage for the main attraction.
Part 2: Opera under the Brooklyn Sky
The centerpiece of the evening features the symphony orchestra, led by the talented conductor Daniel Zinn. Critically acclaimed singers Ariadne Greif and Pavel Suliandziga will perform some of opera's most beloved arias and intermezzi, guaranteed to enrapture the audience.
Part 3: Uklon Ambient After Party
As the classical melodies fade, Uklon will introduce an ambient set that promises to send guests further into the night with a sensation of refreshment.
Rain or Shine
In case of rain, the performance will be postponed to the 23rd. Ticket buyers will have an option for a refund or can use their tickets for any future So&So or Fort Greene Chamber Music Society production.
Location and Transport
The event takes place at the Brooklyn Army Terminal Ferry Station, 11220. You can easily reach the location via public transportation. Subway lines N and R stop at 59th Street in Brooklyn, a short walk from the terminal. There is also the South Brooklyn Ferry Service, which can be a charming way to arrive. If you're driving, there's ample parking space available nearby.
