Festival Daniou | Brittany, France

Brittany-based Festival Daniou is a summer residency that engages with composers, location, history, art, and cuisine to present chamber music performances from internationally accomplished young musicians. Acclaimed for “dazzling displays of talent”(Ouest France, 2015) and “programming both classical and innovative” (Le Telegramme, 2015), in two short years Festival Daniou has offered dozens of European and world premieres of emerging composers, while highlighting Brittany’s most extraordinary locations, such as Les Essarts (the historic Forbes family estate in Saint-Briac) and the Île du Guesclin, and all while bringing support to local businesses and restoration of architecture.

Located in the Côtes-d'Armor region of northern Brittany, France, the tiny La Ville Daniou is nestled between fields and forest, providing an idyllic setting for music making. It is also centrally placed between the major resort town of Dinard and the medieval Dinan, making the extraordinary surrounding region easily accessible by car or bus.
